Return to painting after a long absence

It has been a long time since I posted to my blog. After returning from and recovering from my trip we had a long bumpy road to travel with my husband's medical problems.

This week I returned to painting for a few hours. The top picture is before starting and the other two show the mess that quickly develops when I'm painting. The pieces are not finished but I'll post some photos when they're done.

Good to be back!

When you say developing mess you really mean it, don't you? That's what happens when one paints with abandon. I'm anxious to see the completed pieces.

Your studio is impressive. I'm involved in the Art scene in La Conner WA. We are fostering an Art Focused Scene and I'm maybe moving to Vancouver area. I'm sad in a way because I'm so involved, but I'm possibly getting a new job. Whats the scene in Vancouver on a scale of 1-5? I like your work.

Hi Troy;

La Conner is a very "arty" place I've heard. Not sure how Vancouver would compare although we have several active galleries and a busy First Friday in downtown Vancouver.

Then there is always the art scene in Portland to look into if you move here.

Thanks for the comment.
